I could get used to this. VERY used to it! The Pechanga Resort and Casino is awesome! The building is beautiful, the food is wonderful, and the people are amazing! And, the slots? Fun, fun, fun! But, I'm getting ahead of myself, so let me back up.

Jewel and I left her place fairly early this morning. We wanted to stop by the Lake Elisnore outlet center, and do a bit of shopping before going to the casino. I picked up some more toe rings and ankle bracelets at Claire's (but two of the anklets don't fit, so I'll have to return them on our way back), two new outfits at Casual Corner Woman, and three pair of shoes and a new wallet at Payless Shoes. Jewel hit the Linens and Things, then joined me in a shoe-buying frenzy! (What's sad is, I was just at the Payless shoes at home, and bought a couple pairs of shoes there, too! Someone help me! I'm becoming Imelda Marcos!) There were several more stores we wanted to go to, but we figured we'd done enough damage for one day, and headed for the casino.
Oh! This place! This place! It's just beautiful! And, our room? Gorgeous! The bathroom is as big as my bedroom. I swear! All the staff are great, from the doorman who greeted us, to the woman at the reception desk who checked us in, to the bellman who showed us to our room then pointed out some of the amenities before leaving, to the guy who just delivered our room service order. Everyone is cheerful, helpful, and courteous. Of course, I'm sure someone with a bad attitude would probably not get a job here to begin with, but still, it's a refreshing change from everyday life.

Jewel and I unpacked right away, and discussed our plan of action: gambling, eating, sit by the pool/in the hot tub, eat, drink, gamble, eat, gamble, drink, gamble, gamble, gamble. You get the idea, I'm sure. And, yes, for those of you wondering, I plan to indulge in my favourite vice: smoking. It's not going to be a big deal, really: because the casino/resort is on tribal land, smoking is allowed indoors. So, I'm gonna. Whatever. I'll quit when I get home. Right now, I'm on vacation! Cheers!
for what it's worth,
