Almost Friday

I finally went and got my hair cut tonight, which not only means that I can colour it tomorrow, but also that I don't have to try to see through bangs that were so long they were brushing my cheekbones. Gah! There's nothing worse! I see on the soaps and on other TV shoes, the girls are wearing their bangs long so that it's hanging in their eyes, and I just don't get it. Isn't that uncomfortable? How can you see with all that crap in your face? Long bangs may be the style right now, but it's definitely not for me!

So now my bangs are really really short! I'm not sure exactly what style it is - emo or punk or something else - but I've seen it around. There's a girl at the Recorder's office who has the really super short bangs, and her short hair is always back in tiny curly pigtails at the base of her neck. It's coloured either black or dark red. She wears glasses, too. She looks very cool.

In other news, The Great Weekend Getaway to Santa Barbara might be a go! The 101 is expected to open up tomorrow afternoon, so Jewel will be able to drive up. I'm unsure about taking the train now. I still need to pick up my tickets, which I plan to do at noon tomorrow, so I guess I'll find out then if they're going to be running anything or not. Even if they ran the bus, it would be okay. If I have to drive, naturally I will, but it won't be as much fun. I plan on listening to an audio book on the train, and I won't be able to do that in the car. Still, whatever I have to do get to SB, I'll do it!
