In other news, I’m having to change my plans for JournalCon ever so slightly. I have one personal day I can use, but no vacation time accrued, so any other days I take off will have to be unpaid. I was originally planning on taking the train down on Thursday the 20th, and taking it back Monday the 24th, then taking Tuesday off to recover. However, I can't really afford to take all those days, so it looks like I'll be flying down to San Diego after work Thursday evening and flying back Monday (that is, if the hotel accepts really late check ins!), and just going to work on Tuesday. That way I can use my personal day on Friday, and just cut my loss for Monday. I'm sure it won't kill me, except that flying is so much more expensive than the train. And not quite as much fun. Ah, well.
