I know I still have to finish up my Hawaii Vacation entries, as well as last weekend’s Wine Festival entry, and I will do both of those things I PROMISE!! When I will actually GET to them however, is a good quesiton as I’m going out of town this weekend to meet up with my friend Jewel who’s coming to visit her parents. Phew!

Anyway, this evening, mom and I quickly trimmed and mowed the front and back yards, and I took the opportunity to once again check on the garden, and this time do a bit of harvesting. We have already had one cucumber thus far (which was very good, by the way), and it looks like we’re going to be getting plenty more veggies very soon!

The honeydew melon plants look amazing, but I still don’t see anything other than blossoms on it, so I don’t know if we’ll actually get melons or not.

The zucchini plans are doing fabulous also – they were almost too big to fit in the photo! And, I see several little zucchinis in there!

The cucumber plants themselves don’t look all that great, but they’re sure producing!

Like the cucs, the pepper plants are tiny, but just look at the size of those peppers!

Finally we have the tomatoes, complete with some little green fruits:

After taking the pictures, I went and harvested some of our biggest and best: two cucumbers and two peppers. Mom and I plan to share a pepper and cucumber with my grandparents and keep a set for ourselves.

Looks like we’ll be eating a lot of fresh veggies this summer!
