An Evening in the Garden

Tonight is lawn mowing night, but before I get my cardio workout by pushing a manual mower around the yard instead of hitting the Club, let’s check out the garden:

Holy cow! The honeydew melon plants are so big I have to stand back to get it all in the shot! Our one good-sized melon is still growing, but now it has a split in it. I don’t know if that’s from a pest or just a natural occurance. I hope it’ll still be okay.

The zucchini looks worse this week. We’re still getting some squash, but many more have just up and died.

I swear these cucumbers are just popping up overnight! Just look at the size of that one!

The pepper plants have perked up a bit. One side has grown so much, we’ve had to prop it up on an overturned bucket to keep it from breaking off.

We’re going to have tomatoes coming out our ears very soon!
